We are located within easy travelling distance from Turriff, Banff, Keith, Cornhill, Portsoy, Cullen, Buckie and Elgin.
The croft is home to a small herd of pedigree highland cattle, some hens and Brodgar the family dog. Nestling amidst rolling hills, in beautiful countryside the croft is only 6 miles from the coast.
Dotted along this exceptional coast line are quaint fishing villages, bustling marinas, a wide selection of golf courses and places of interest such as Duff House, Elgin Cathedral, Fraserburgh Lighthouse and Macduff Aquarium to name but a few.
Numerous coffee shops, bricabrac, and potteries are interspersed along this fascinating and often forgotten coastline.
International companies such as Deans, Walkers and Baxters are open to the public and within an easy drive.
Set amidst Whisky and Castle Country the area has much of interest to offer. History abounds in the area from the multiple stone circles with their mystical allure, to more recent history of Robert the Bruce who decimated the area in a ruthless revenge attack.

Cycling paths long and short distance are close by and safe walking tracks abound.
Bennachie arguably the Mons Graupius referred to by Tacitus in his description of one of the most famous Roman battles in to-days Britain, has an interesting network of paths to the Neolithic fort at the top.
Knock Hill which towers in front of Balwarren is also a contender for Mons Graupius and is a comfortable 90 minute walk up and back.
Every summer there is an organized race to the top of Knock Hill which coincides with the Cornhill Games. Walking routes such as the Speyside Way, and the Gordon Way are but a short drive. For those who like more of a challenge the Grampian Mountains are only an hour away.
For the Golfing Enthusiasts there are around ten golf clubs within driving distance.
